Version 1.6.7 Released

Craig Setera — April 22, 2007 @ 5:11 pm — New Releases

Version 1.6.7 of EclipseME has been released. This version provides a small set of bug fixes against version 1.6.6. It is absolutely necessary that the new installation instructions be followed in order to enable the preprocessing support as currently provided.

EclipseME requires version 3.2 of the Eclipse platform. Eclipse 3.2.2 is suggested, but 3.1 is no longer supported. Eclipse 3.3 should work, but is not heavily tested at this time.
Refer to the installation instructions at http://eclipseme.org/docs/installation.html. EclipseME may be installed and updated via the EclipseME Update site as well as via an Eclipse site archive file downloadable from Sourceforge. Point Eclipse at http://eclipseme.org/updates/ to install via the update site. If you encounter issues with EclipseME, please visit http://eclipseme.org/docs/support.html for more information on support options.

This new version includes the following changes:

Bug Fixes

  • Fix for Java Application Descriptor (JAD) Editor on Eclipse 3.3 (Bug 1683413)
  • Fix for Sun’s Wireless Toolkit (WTK) 2.5 installation in path with spaces (RFE 1689078)
  • Fix for temporary file name with user with spaces (Bug 1688739)
  • Fix for missing Antenna build exporter template file (Bug 1667689)
  • Fix for missing table sort images (Bug 1682182)

  3. jmbene Says:

This version doesn’t allow to import devices in Linux.
    Tried with WTK2.2 and WTK2.5EA.
    Eclipse version 3.2.1 build M20060921-0945.
    Use 1.6.6 instead.

  4. Markus Sinner Says:

This version has a bug which makes running the Emulator on linux buggy. You have to contain the WTK-Bin directory in your PATH-Variable before starting Eclipse:

    e.g. create a file “run-wtk-eclipse” in you eclipse-directory

    cd `dirname $0`
    export PATH=/usr/local/wtk2.2/bin:$PATH
    ./eclipse

    This is just a workaround!

  5. Chris Harcourt Says:

@Markus - Many thanks for that fix - this problem has been driving me crazy all afternoon!
Now working on Gentoo Linux/Sun JDK 1.5/Eclipse 3.2.1/Sun WTK 2.5EA.
    Thanks again.

  6. rapucha Says:

build.xml used as a template for exporting to Antenna seems to be gone and removed from svn.
One can grab it from svn history though/

  7. Craig Setera Says:

build.xml should be fixed in the latest release.
